I was looking to get my Grandpa's coin collection appraised.Not knowing much about coins and being from St. Louis, I went online to see about reputable coins shops around the Chicago area where he lived. I saw the great reviews of Harbor Coin online, so I decided to give them a try. What a great decision that was! I called ahead and asked about what it would cost for an appraisal. They told me to just come in and they would take a look for free. I arrived a little after lunch and there were a couple of customers ahead of me. I waited about 5 mins and was greeted by the owner's son Brian. He separated my deal with care, explaining what each pile of coins was worth, even showing me similar coins that he was selling in his shop so I could get a real grasp on how he was pricing my collection. I left that day with cash in my pocket, and a real sense of being treated like I was family. I can't recommend this place enough!!
